The three main components to any listing are:
- The vehicle details
- Photographs and footage of the vehicle
- The history and paperwork
To improve the vehicle's details provide as much accurate information as possible. From the basics such as engine capacity and mileage through to the condition of specific parts. The more detail you can provide, the better chance you'll have of selling.
As far as photography goes, listings with decent images simply perform better. You can either let us take care of it for you and send out a professional photographer, or you can do it yourself. Should you choose the second option though, it's imperative that you closely follow our photography guide and provide as many quality photos as you can. You may also want to consider filming a short walkaround video, including footage of the engine running. A full guide on how to capture the best possible video for your vehicle can be found here.
With regards to the history and paperwork, again, provide as much accurate and detailed information as you can. Potential buyers love to see a comprehensive history file and decent service history so if you can prove your vehicle has been well maintained and regularly serviced, get it in. Include any receipts for parts and invoices for any work carried out. The more the merrier and be honest!
But by far the best way to guarantee a top quality listing is by choosing one of our auction seller packages and letting us take care of everything for you. You can speak to a member of the auctions team to discuss your options by emailing auctions@carandclassic.com.
