# Is it really necessary to declare all faults?

It may sound a little hackneyed but honesty really is the best policy when it comes to selling your vehicle. Most old cars need a little TLC which is what buyers will be expecting. Providing a detailed and honest overview of the vehicle from the beginning will help to avoid any disputes further down the line.

Buyers will be interested in flaws and faults so they’ll know how much restoration or maintenance work may be required in the future. Being honest about the vehicle upfront will give buyers confidence and will ensure a smoother sale, so let it all hang out, warts 'n all!

Being 100% accurate when listing your vehicle will also help to avoid any potential legal repercussions resulting in failure to disclose significant faults.
