It is illegal for you, or anyone you know, to bid on your auction to increase the price. This is known as shill bidding, it’s a form of fraud and is treated as such. This rule applies to family, friends, roommates, employees and online connections.
If shill bidding is known to be taking place, your vehicle will be withdrawn from auction and you will be charged a withdrawal fee. You will not be able to sell with Car & Classic in the future and we may take legal action.
