# Why do you need my ID and bank details?

At Car & Classic we're committed to offering the safest online transactions, and part of that guaranteed security comes from the fact that our users are verified. We ask for your personal details so we can verify your identity and comply with anti-money laundering regulations when using our secure escrow account.

We ask for your bank details so we know which account to send the funds to once your vehicle has sold. If you're a buyer we won't take a penny unless you actually win an auction or have an offer accepted.
