# What does KYC/KYB mean?

Just like NASA, we’re fond of an acronym here at C&C. KYC stands for Know Your Customer and KYB stands for Know Your Business and we take pride in understanding both implicitly.

 We love getting to know you guys but it's also a legal requirement to ensure that neither we, nor you, are breaking any anti-money laundering laws when using our secure escrow account. We verify all of our buyers and sellers and check personal ID or business documents to prove you are who you say you are, or that your business is genuine.
